Manish Sisodia is an Indian politician and a prominent member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He is currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, which is the capital territory of India.

Born on February 5, 1972, in Patparganj, Delhi, Manish Sisodia completed his schooling from a government school in Delhi. He then went on to earn a degree in journalism from Delhi University. Sisodia was actively involved in student politics during his college days and was associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), which is the student wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In 1996, Manish Sisodia joined the social activist group Parivartan, which was led by Arvind Kejriwal. Parivartan worked towards social and political change and was actively involved in issues such as corruption, transparency, and accountability in governance. In 2012, Sisodia, along with Kejriwal, launched the AAP, which aimed to provide an alternative to mainstream political parties in India.

In the 2013 Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, Sisodia contested from the Patparganj constituency and won by a margin of over 11,000 votes. He was subsequently appointed as the Minister of Education, Finance, Planning, and Tourism in the newly formed AAP government. As the Education Minister, Sisodia played a key role in overhauling the education system in Delhi and introducing various reforms, such as the Happiness Curriculum and the Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum.

In the 2015 Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, Sisodia was again elected from the Patparganj constituency with a record margin of over 28,000 votes. He was appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi in the newly formed AAP government. In his role as the Deputy Chief Minister, Sisodia has been instrumental in implementing various policies and initiatives, such as the Mohalla Clinics, the doorstep delivery of public services, and the installation of CCTV cameras across Delhi.
