• CPC: The minimum educational qualification of the candidate shall be (1) at least 2nd class Master degree in Library and Information Science of a recognized University with knowledge of computer application. 

• At least 2nd class Master’s degree or equivalent CGPA in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Agriculture/ Veterinary Science/ Home Science with at least 2nd class Bachelor degree in Library Information Science from a recognized University.

• Bachelor degree in any field of study

• Master’s degree in Library and information Science of a recognized University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B (Grade Point 3.50-4.49) in UGC seven point scale.

• 5 years service experience as Assistant Librarian (senior scale, with AGP of Rs. 7000)/ Documentation Officer in a University Library or 15 years of professional experience in a University Library system.

• Evidence of initiative and ability to plan, organize, administer in a library

• A minimum score as stipulated in the ‘Academic Performance Indicator’ (API) Score Card Guideline prescribed for Direct Recruitment of Library Professional Staff in AAU to be called for interview.

Pay: Rs. 30,000 to 1,10,000 + GP: 14,500 (CPC) ; Rs. 79,800-2,11,500 (Academic Level 12) (UGC)

Accounts Officer or Equivalent rank or still higher post in Govt/Semi Govt. or recognized Public Sector Undertakings.
