Office of the Joint Director, Handloom & Textiles (Hills), Diphu Assam has has published job an advertisement for the recruitment of 09 (nine) Junior Assistant, Demonstrator, Sectional Assistant and Chawkidar (Grade-IV) Vacancy. Interested and eligible applicants may apply here.
Handloom & Textiles Department Assam Recruitment 2021 Vacancy Details:
1. Junior Assistant
No. of posts: 03
Scale of Pay: Pay Band (PB-2) @ Rs.14,000 – 60,500 + GP Rs.6200/-p.m. + other allowances.
2. Demonstrator
No. of posts: 03
Scale of Pay: Pay Band (PB-2) @ Rs.14,000 – 60,500 + GP Rs.6200/-p.m. + other allowances.
3. Sectional Assistant
No. of post: 01
Scale of Pay: Pay Band (PB-2) @ Rs.14,000 – 60,500 + GP Rs.5600/-p.m. + other allowances.
4. Chawkidar (Grade-IV)
No. of posts: 02
Scale of Pay: Pay Band (PB-1) @ Rs.12,000 – 52,000 + Grade Pay Rs.3900/-p.m. + other allowances.

Educational Qualifications
Junior Assistant: Graduate in Arts/Commerce & Science from any Govt. Recognized Institution with 6 (Six) months Diploma in computer application.
Demonstrator: HSLC passed with 2(two) years Certificate Course in Handloom / Textile Technology from any recognized Institute under Govt, of Assam or Govt. Of India.
Sectional Assistant (SA): HSLC passed from any Govt, recognized Institute.
Chawkidar: Read up to Class – X.
Age limit: The candidates Minimum age 18 years and maximum age 40 years as on 1-1-2021
Age Relaxation:
- 5 (Five) year for SC/ST
- 3 years OBC/MOBC).
Selection Process of Handloom & Textiles (Hills) Diphu Assam Recruitment 2021:
A. There will be a Written Test for the post of Demonstrator in the following subjects:
- General English: 20 Marks
- General Knowledge: 20 Marks
- Technical Question: 30 marks
B. There will be a Written Test for Junior Assistant and Sectional Assistant in the following subjects:
- General English: 20 Marks
- General Knowledge: 30 Marks
- General Mathematics: 20 Marks
C. The qualified candidates in the written Test shall be called for viva-voce Test of 30 Marks
D. There will be a viva-voce Test for the post of Grade-IV: 30 marks
How to Apply Handloom & Textiles (Hills) Recruitment 2021:
(i) Interested candidates may apply in Standard Application Form as prescribed in the Assam Gazette and send the duly filled in application form to the Joint Director, Handloom & Textiles (Hills), Diphu along with Council money receipt of Rs. 20/- in case of general category and Rs. 10/-for SC/ST(H) candidates.
(ii) Self-attested copies of all Certificates in support of the following must be submitted along with the application form.
- Educational Qualification,
- Proof of Date of Birth,
- Caste/Tribe Certificate,
- Employment Exchange Registration.
(iii) The application duly filled up in all respect and should be submitted in scale envelop marking on it as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF Junior Assistant, Demonstrator, Sectional Assistant, Grade — IV (Chowkidar)”.
The last date submission of application form is 10th December, 2021.
